Out of the Darkness O'ahu Walk was an event that took place to raise awareness and funds that allow the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to invest in new research and decrease the number of suicide loss. By the end of this event, we were able to raise a total of $34,201.
There were also other activities that took place, one of them was a cake walk. I made a two tiered chocolate cake. This top tier is dark magenta with a tear down the middle, with gum paste flowers booming out.The flowers symbolizes hope, similar to the idea of the song "Out of Darkness" by Taylor Swift, which is her talking about getting out of danger.
