Ronald McDonald Houses Charities provide a loving home-away-from-home to families needing to be near their seriously ill or injured children while they're being treated at Honolulu area hospitals.
During their Christmas dinner, I wanted to surprise the residents there with a Christmas Cake. I wanted to bring a bit of joy into their lives as they are going through a tough time and they are away from the rest of their relatives.
I pipped the bottom tier "thread" by "thread" with buttercream to create a sweater like pattern. The top tier resembles a reindeer. I was inspired by the unicorn cake trend that was really popular at that time.
